Article 1
FRANCE 24 ' News brief’ competition (the ‘Competition’) begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time (“GMT”) on March 20th, 2008 and shall end as of 11:59 p.m. GMT on May 15th, 2008 ("Competition Period").
The Competition is organized by PLAYtheGAME (the ‘Organizer’), Avenue Victor Hugo 7, 1420 Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the competition, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control. Only one prize per family living at the same address will be awarded. A subsidiary question will be used in case of tie.
Article 2
Entrants are not obliged to purchase any products in order to participate in the Competition. This competition is not open to employees or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organization of the competition, or their direct family members living in their same household.
All participants under the age of eighteen (18) must seek the permission of a parent or guardian before taking part in the Competition and accepting these official rules. The organizer reserves the right to ask participants for proof of this authorisation and to disqualify any participant or winner unable to provide proof of this authorisation.
Article 3
Every person that participates in the Competition (‘Participant’) will be deemed to have accepted these official rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this Competition.
To take part, the participant must follow the instructions and fill out the registration form correctly. The photographs and illustrations of the gifts are not contractual.
By entering the competition, participants will gain a free access to a dedicated MY FRANCE 24 space and will receive the MY FRANCE 24 letter, privileges that participants can cancel at any time by clicking on a dedicated link.
All entry forms are stocked automatically and associated to the participants coordinates that were collected through the Competition’s interface. Notification of the results will be sent to all participants by email within 15 days following the end of the Competition.
The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person or email address that submits multiple entries. Any submission of robotic, automatic or programmed entries or any entries submitted by agencies, other third parties, or through other unapproved methods are void.
Any entry to the Competition on paper or any other form different than the entry permitted through the Competition is void.
All entries must be submitted via the Website, during the period specified in the official rules of the Competition, according to all applicable directions as listed on the Website, or the entry will be void. Entries that are incomplete, with errors, defaced, damaged, with inappropriate and/or defamatory content will be deemed invalid. Those which do not fill in all the required fields will be disqualified. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. The organizer is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, incomprehensible or misdirected entries, bugs, failures in servers, hardware or software transmission failure or loss or delayed or corrupted data transmissions or any injury or damage to a specified in the official rules of the Competition or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any portion of this Competition. All entries will become the property of the organizer and none will be returned.
Submissions received after Competition Period will not be judged.
The winners will be contacted personally by email and by post.
Prizes unclaimed after three (3) months from notification will be deemed to have been refused by the winner. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the prize in case of no response from a winner.
Article 4
Should the Competition not take place as planned because of any infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or other cause beyond the organizer’s control which corrupts or threatens to corrupt or adversely affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Competition.
Article 5
Winner, by acceptance of any Prize, agrees to release the organizer and the organizer Affiliates from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of any Prize or while travelling to and from a location to obtain or use any Prize.
Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, or acts of any government or authority.
Neither the organizer nor the organizer Affiliates make any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of any Prize including, without limitation, quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Neither the organizer nor the organizer Affiliates are responsible for technical, hardware, software, damages, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the organizer or the organizer Affiliates, the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Competition or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Competition and which may limit a participant's ability to participate in this Competition.
Article 6
The Winner may be required to participate in publicity connected with this Competition and may be filmed, photographed or otherwise recorded by FRANCE 24, PLAYtheGAME or other third parties for publicity purposes and s/he expressly consents to the use of his/her personal data for such purposes without further consent or payment.
The collection of personally identifiable information for the purposes of this Competition will be subject to the Privacy Statement, as amended from time to time. The data collected through this Competition will be used only in connection with the running of this Competition, including (without limitation) for the purpose of sending an email to participants to confirm whether the participant has won the Prize or not. In addition the collected data may be transferred through this Competition for the purpose of fulfilling the Prize. By entering into this Competition, the participant expressly consents to the use of his/her personally identifiable information in accordance with these official rules and the Privacy Statement. Such information may also be used by FRANCE 24 and PLAYtheGAME in relation to the general marketing of its products and services, including via email, if you expressly consent to such use.
No alternative prize, cash, or other substitution is permitted except by the organizer in the event of prize unavailability. Prize is non-transferable.
All opposition should be addressed to PLAYtheGAME – Avenue Victor Hugo 7, 1420 Braine-l'Alleud – Belgium (email: mkt@ptg.be) and this within 30 days after the Prize Draw.
The Participant engages himself in the event of opposition, to settle the matter amicably before any action at law.
The Competition shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Belgian Government.
Article 7

Article 8
Under the terms of the legislation relating to the protection of the privacy with regards to the processing personal data, the participant is informed that certain answers indicated as such in the bulletin of participation can be optional. However, incomplete answers of the mandatory questions involve the non-participation of the Competition.
The data collected through this Competition will be used only in connection with the proper running of this Competition, including (without limitation) for the purpose of sending an email to entrants to confirm whether the entrant has won the Prize or not.
According to the Privacy Law participants have the right to access, modify and delete their details by writing to mkt@ptg.be.

These terms and conditions have been submitted by MR Jaumotte, bailiff at 58 Avenue de Brulet, 1400 Nivelles, Belgium, and has the responsibility for the correct operation of this prize draw.
